(Before 1980) A species endemic to Florida and considered endangered. It has light pink flowers and small, rounded, leathery leaves. Some consider it a variety of the species minus. This plant is located on the trail, at the intersection of the Loop Connecting Trail and the North Loop Trail.

(Before 1980) This old azalea is located on the trail, adjacent (on the southeast side) to R.carolinianum, and not far from a large tulip tree. The accession number is 80-V-695.

(Before 1980) This very large, sprawling plant is located on the trail, not far from the intersection with the Long Branch East Trail.
Rhododendron 'Maxecat' #14
(2008) Unlike this planting, most of our R.’Maxecat’ plantings are very old. It is located just off the trail, adjacent (on the southeast side) to R. ‘Griersplendour’. THe accession number is 02-V-031.
Rhododendron 'Taurus' #2
(1996) This hybrid is located on the trail, very close to a tulip tree, about midway on the trail. It is adjacent (on the southwest side) to R. ‘P.J.M.’ . The accession number is 96-V-036. The flower is deep red, as might be predicted by the cross: The Honourable Jean Marie de Montague x strigillosum.
Rhododendron 'P.J.M.' #4
(Unknown date) This plant is located on the trail, adjacent (on the southwest side) to R. ‘Taurus’, and not far from a tulip tree. It belongs to a group of small-leaved rhodos known as the PJM Group.

(Unknown date) An older plant, widely planted in the Glen. This plant is located just off the trail, not far from R. hyperythrum to the northwest and and close to R. ‘Maxecat’ on the southeast. The accession number is 80-V-682.

(Before 1980) This tall, old plant is located just off the trail, where the trail bends towards the west, and not far from a large, sprawling, unlabelled rhodo.
