(2012) A new species of azalea, first described in 2008 as a split of the alabamense species. (It originally was thought to be a natural hybrid of alabamense). Flowers can by white, pink, or yellow and it blooms a month later than albamense. This plant is located off the trail, in the area just south of the old entrance to the Glen and west of the Kellam Trail. It is west of R. ‘Wyanokie’.
