(Before 1980) This azalea is located on the creek bank, between the wide Hickory Bridge and the next (single) bridge downstream. It is plant #2 of a group of three. Formerly R. bakeri, renamed Cumberland from the mountain range in western Virginia. Usually red, but can form natural hybrids with R. viscosum and R.arborescens.
