(Before 1980) This hybrid is an old plant located on the trail in the narrow area between the wide bridge and the Stone Bridge. It is near the Stone Bridge, next to a large Stewartia tree. It is a cross between the heat tolerant Florida species, chapmanii, and the cold tolerant Asia species, dauricum.
