Rhododendron ‘Charlestown’

Rhododendron (Location: Long Branch East Eastside)

(2000) According to an an article in the Journal of the ARS, the name Charlestown refers to an identical Dexter hybrid now registered as ‘Sandwich Appleblossom’, formerly known by the unregistered name, ‘Appleblossom’. Our plant is located off the trail, in the area just north of Hickory Gap, and just west of R. ‘Madame Masson’ (planted in 2012).
