Rhododendron ‘Grierosplendour’ #4

(Before 1980) One of a group of four plants, probably layered from one plant. A hybrid with one parent being ‘Purple Splendour’, giving the flowers a purplish-red color. The plant is quite common in the Glen and distinguished by the unusual shape of the flower buds. It is located just off the trail in the Kellam Area, near the Kellam sign. The plant is about 10 feet northwest of the large R.’Barnstable’.
