Rhododendron ‘Grierosplendour’ #16

(Before 1980) One of a group of three plants, probably layered from one plant. A hybrid with one parent being ‘Purple Splendour’, giving the flowers a purplish-red color. The plant is quite common in the Glen and distinguished by the unusual shape of the flower buds. It is located on the trail at the intersection of the Kellam Spur Trail.
