Rhododendron ‘Maud Corning’

(1993) A Dexter hybrid with R. fortunei as a parent, from the Kellam collection. The original unnamed plant came to the Holden Arboretum in Ohio and was named in honor of Mrs. Corning, the wife of the arboretum’s director. The flowers are pink and fragrant. The plant is on the trail, just south of R. prunifolium, in the area south of the old Glen entrance.
