(Before 1980) A hybrid of R. catawbiense with rosy-lavender flowers and a very vigorous growth habit. It is located off the trail, in the area south of the Main Entrance on the west side of the Kellam Trail. It is plant #2 in a group of five plants, close to the fence and a large tulip tree.
