Full Weather Stations
The Santee Experimental Forest maintains three full weather stations: two installed near ground level within forest clearings and one located approximately 30 m above the forest canopy. These stations provide an array of detailed climatological data for varying periods.
The original site allowed users to query by station, data type, variables, and period of interest. These ZIP archives package the downloadable station data and metadata.
Data Included: Variables vary by station and include air temperature, rainfall, relative humidity, wind, radiation, vapor pressure, PAR, and soil temperature.

Watershed Field Stations
There are three field weather stations instrumented to collect rainfall and temperature data. These stations were established to assess the spatial variability of these parameters across the watersheds.
The original site allowed users to query by station, variable, and period of interest. These ZIP archives package the downloadable field-station tables and metadata.
Data Included: Archives include rainfall, air temperature, soil temperature, and historic daily summaries where available.

Historic Rainfall Network
Networks of non-recording rain gauges, now inactive, were installed inside and around the perimeters of WS 77, WS 78, and WS 80 in 1963, 1964, and 1966, respectively, and were monitored until 1984. These gauges were established to quantify spatial variability in rainfall and were usually visited only after a rainfall event.
The original site allowed users to query by network, variables, and period of interest. These ZIP archives package the downloadable rainfall-network tables and metadata.
Data Included: Archives include rainfall in millimeters and any recorded remarks.
