Early Gifted and Talented Programs

  • Children identified as gifted and talented (GT) are more likely to gain the skills and interest associated with STEM success throughout their educations.
  • Encourage identification of your child as GT early in her or his elementary education. Identification as GT triggers many important educational benefits for your child.
  • Be sure that the GT identification is fair, open, and culturally appropriate.
  • If your child is not identified as GT the first time, try again.
