Secondary School STEM Success

Secondary School STEM Success

  • Enroll your children in Algebra as early as possible so that they are the better able to acquire the mathematical skills needed for secondary school sequences of math and science courses needed for later STEM pursuits.
  • Enroll your children in Physics, a STEM gateway course, so that they are the better able to acquire the academic skills needed for later STEM pursuits.
  • Choose to enroll your children in higher college prep-level courses. Because advanced level courses cover more material at a more complex level, a student’s STEM preparation is arguably better served by her/his taking AP chemistry and receiving a grade of “C” than by taking regular chemistry and receiving a grade of “A”.
