(2008) This plant is located in a small area bounded by the Scout Bridge Trail on the west side and the fence on the east. It is located close to the fence, beside R. ‘Edgemont’, with some other rhodos propagated by D. Little. It is a Dexter hybrid with outstanding foliage and appears to be very vigorous.

(Before 1980) This plant is located in a small area bounded by the Stone Bridge Trail and the Hickory Gap and Long Branch East Trails leading to the Stone Bridge. It is located off the trail, about midway between the Stone Bridge and Pine Woods Trails. It is southeast of the large Sparkleberry Tree. Flowers are red.

It is located on the trail, north of a hemlock tree and R. calendulaceum. It has dark red flowers.

It is bounded by the Pine Woods Trail on the east, the Stone Bridge Trail on the northwest, and the Long Branch East Trail on the southwest. It is located on the trail, adjacent on the north side, to R.’Kaye Player’. The hybridizer is Mike Stilwell, ‘Maxecat x hyperythrum’.
Rhododendron 'Rockbridge' #1
(2004) A hybrid from Mike Stilwell, ‘Maxecat’ x hyperythrum, raised and registered by Wyatt Lefever. It has white flowers, with red speckles on the upper lobes. It is located near the entrance, on the flagstone path where the drainage ditch crosses.

(2000) This hybrid is located off the trail about midway between the Sunflower and Maple Trails, not far from the south end of these trails. It is just northwest of R. ‘Smokey Mountain’.

(2005) This plant is located in a narrow area bounded by the Long Branch and the Long Branch East Trail, starting with the Stone Bridge and going to the Hech Bridge near the entrance to the Coastal Plain. It is located on the trail, just south of a large oak tree.
Rhododendron 'Red Eye' x 'Frank Maliere'
(2010) This plant is located in the Pine Woods area bounded by the Pine Woods Trail on the west, the fence on the east, the Toothache Tree on the north and an extensive growth of ‘Maxecat’ rhodos on the south. It is located off the trail, behind the large clump of R. ‘Maxecat’ and to the north of R. ‘Taurus’. The accession number is 10-V-076.
Rhododendron 'Purrier Red'
(2009) This plant is located in the Pine Woods area bounded by the Pine Woods Trail on the west, the fence on the east, the Toothache Tree on the north and an extensive growth of ‘Maxecat’ rhodos on the south. It is located off the trail, just southeast of R.’Gigi’, close to a large clump of R.’Maxecat’. The accession number is 09-V-015. The name of this plant may be mispelled.

(Unknown date) This plant is located in Area 2K on the Glen Map of 1990. It is bounded by the Pine Woods Trail on the east, the Stone Bridge Trail on the northwest, and the Long Branch East Trail on the southwest. It is located on the trail, just northwest of R. ‘Rosy Cheeks’, and does not seem to be thriving (2017).

(Before 1980) This Dexter hybrid has fragrant, pink flowers. It is located on the trail, north of the culvert that crosses the trail, and not near other rhodos. It is not far from the large azalea, austrinum x canescens (beside the culvert).

(1991) A Dexter hybrid from the Kellam collection, an original planting in the Lounsberry Area. A large plant located more towards the center of the area.
Rhododendron 'Piedmont Kinloss'
(2004) Research is unable to find info about this plant – it may be mislabelled. It is located close to the trail, in the area adjoining (north) of the Kellam area.
Rhododendron 'Perry Wiseman'
(2000) This hybrid is located on the trail in front of R. Fortunei Cream, in the area just north of the Hickory Gap. It is beside R. ‘Dorothy Russell’, which was planted at the same time.
Rhododendron 'Peppermint x hyperythrum'
(2000) Dexter’s Peppermint x hyperythrum is located in the area containing some Magnolia trees, just north of the Hickory Gap. It is just off the trail, south of R. fortunei cream.
Rhododendron 'Peppermint Twist'
(Unknown date) Hybridized by Thornton, this plant has pink flowers and is located in the area just south of the Short Branch and west of the Kellam Trail. It is situated on the bank of the Short Branch, just west of R.’Scintillation’.

(2009) This plant is located in the Pine Woods area bounded by the Pine Woods Trail on the west, the fence on the east, the Toothache Tree on the north and an extensive growth of ‘Maxecat’ rhodos on the south. It is located in the north end of this area, not far from the fence. The accession number is 09-V-013.
Rhododendron 'Paul Mauney' #2
(1997) This hybrid is located at the East Entrance, where the Pine Woods Trail and the North Loop Trail begin. The flowers are predominantly white and the cross is ‘Belle Heller’ x yakushimamum ‘Koichiro Wada’.

(1996) This plant was hybridized by Angelini and has white flowers. It was raised and introduced by Don Kellam and donated from his collection. It is located on the trail, just north of R. ‘Cynthia’. It is in an area at the north end of the Kellam Trail.

(2002) A Bosley hybrid with pink flowers. This plant is located off the trail, northeast of R. ‘Yelton Dec 69’, in the area just north of the Kellam Area.
Rhododendron 'Parsons Gloriosum'
(Unknown date) An older hybrid of catawbiense by the English hybridizer, Anthony Waterer. It has rosy-lavender flowers with a yellow blotch. Located off the trail, near a large hemlock in the Kellam Area, in the section that intersects with the Short Branch Spur Trail. Likely planted in the 1980’s.
Rhododendron 'Parker's Pink'
(1991) A Dexter’s hybrid from the Kellam collection with flower color predominantly red, fading to white in the throat. It is located in the Kellam Area, on the trail, just north of the Hickory Bridge.
Rhododendron 'Papa Cook'
(2011) This plant is located in the small area bounded by the Pine Woods Trail on the west, the fence on the east, the Scout Bridge Trail on the south and an extensive growth of ‘Maxecat’ rhodos on the north. It is located off the trail, not far from the Scout Bridge Trail, and just east of R. ‘Iona’. Southerland created the hybrid: ‘Red River x hyperythrum. The accession number is 11-V-004.
Rhododendron 'Pam Morris'
(1994) This hybrid from C&T Nursery is located off the trail, due east of the Louisiana (C&T Nursery) hybrid, ‘Will-O-The Wisp’. These hybrids are grouped together, have been bred for heat tolerance, and have shown great vigor (2017) since their planting. The cross here is R. ‘Trilby’ x R. hyperythrum.
Rhododendron 'P.J.M.' #4
(Unknown date) This plant is located on the trail, adjacent (on the southwest side) to R. ‘Taurus’, and not far from a tulip tree. It belongs to a group of small-leaved rhodos known as the PJM Group.

(Unknown date) An older plant in the PJM Group, hybridized by Mezitt , crossing R. carolinianum and R.dauricum. Small leaves and no taller than about six feet. Located on the section of the Kellam Spur Trail that intersects with the Short Branch Spur Trail.
